‘I got in contact with Natasha after my endometriosis started to really affect my life. I couldn’t sleep because of the pain but was always exhausted. My work wasn’t going well and on the occasions, I went out with friends I was not fun to be around.
I either had period pains or ovulation pains or just exhaustion from constantly having pain! It was hugely affecting my health — I was sick every 6 weeks to 2 months, I couldn’t exercise because I was either in pain or just exhausted and my mental health was terrible.
I would often get frustrated and cry because it wasn’t fair — I’m late 20s and I just kept thinking I have this until menopause and even then it can still cause issues — which just added to my exhaustion! The doctor's only solution was hormones and anti-inflammatories (which I can’t take because I’m asthmatic) which made me overweight, spotty, and added to my mental health issues. Being asthmatic from a young age meant I’d had steroids all my life which cause more weight gain, mood swings, and whilst I had a very good memory, I struggled to engage my brain!
As this had all gone on so long, it was pretty normal. I remember feeling similar all through my teenage years and having more sick days than most of my friends.
My periods meant I couldn’t walk or sleep, I would just cry with a hot water bottle and the strongest painkillers I could find.
It’s now been 6 months of working with Natasha and I have energy (turns out I don’t love exercise but at least I have the option), I sleep really well, I’ve not been sick since 2 weeks before I contacted her, I’ve found out what it’s like to be bloated/ not have any bowel issues and I only need a hot bath, a hot water bottle and a bit of tiger balm — this is what normal periods are!
My skin is great, my mind is much clearer, I’ve lost 7lbs and I don’t have mood swings.
My life used to completely revolve around my endometriosis and my monthly cycle and I can’t thank Natasha enough for being finally able to feel normal.
