Did you know that mercury is ranked the fifth most toxic element in the world (after plutonium, polonium, caesium, and arsenic)?
It’s a known neurotoxin.
Fabulous, right?
Amalgam fillings contain mercury. Mercury disrupts all living systems and affects many different pathways within the body.
Mercury has an affinity for sperm. Mercury and other heavy metals are found in the male ejaculate and seminal fluid, with the heaviest amount in the sperm. If you have had sperm results back that show low motility and amalgam fillings, this is most likely the cause.
I can detect whether your amalgams are affecting your fertility by your symptoms, which include, brain fog, concerns over memory, disorganisation, allergies, leaky gut syndrome, menstrual disturbances, low libido, lowered immune function, poor sperm count and quality, miscarriage and premature birth.
I also ask whether your mother had amalgam fillings whilst you were in the womb. Back in the day pregnant women got free dental care whilst pregnant and took that opportunity to get their teeth filled, often with amalgam if it was in the 70s or 80s.
For men, mercury seems to build up in the testes, the pituitary gland, and the thyroid and adrenal glands. All places that are absolutely vital in the reproductive system! It’s even been shown in animal studies to affect the sperm movement and viability. In a 2013 in vitro study in Greenland (of 529 from Greenland, Iceland and Poland) revealed increased sperm dysfunction, decreased motility, and viability. It was also demonstrated that men who were subfertile or infertile had higher mercury concentration levels than those who had healthy fertility function.
For women, the pituitary gland is also vital for producing sex and pregnancy hormones such as estrogen and
progesterone. A study done on mice in 1983 found that mercury can also build up in the ovaries. Throughout the years it’s also been implicated in miscarriages of women who work with the substance (ex. hygenists).
If you are not sure if your amalgams are affecting your fertility, then please get in touch, a simple hair metal test can confirm this for you and costs around £60.
The best thing you can do for your fertility and overall health is to get them out, I do not beat around the bush with my patients on this one. But it is essential to find a natural dentist who takes them out properly with a face mask so you do not inhale the toxicity.
Alongside actually taking your fillings out, amalgam can be detoxed from the body with homeopathy with careful support of liver and kidneys and getting you on the right supplements to help the detoxification. This takes just two months.
