New Studies Show Glyphosate Causes Infertility

A new study from the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University found that chronic low-level exposure to glyphosate in mice, altered the ovarian proteome, which could ultimately impact ovarian function, and therefore fertility.

During the study, the dose levels used were low compared to most previous studies and the highest dose of 2 mg/kg is only just above the dose considered safe by the U.S. government (1.75 mg/kg bw/day). Such a dose should show no damaging effects on health, as the official ‘safe’ level is set by reducing a dose that shows health damage by one hundred-fold.

Glyphosate decreases fertility in the next generation.

In another study, rats were fed 2mg/kg of body weight/day of glyphosate alone and a glyphosate-based herbicide from 9 days into pregnancy until they weaned their pups.

The fertility of their pups when they became adults was shown to be damaged. Both glyphosate alone and in formulation increased preimplantation losses, in early pregnancy, and disrupted uterine implantation-related genes.

The study concluded that perinatal exposure to glyphosate disrupted critical hormonal and uterine molecular targets during the receptive state, possibly associated with the implantation failures.

The researchers also concluded in a review that glyphosate and glyphosate-based herbicides are endocrine disruptors. The also stated that glyphosate-based herbicides alter reproductive outcomes in females and exposure to low doses of glyphosate may alter ovarian and uterine functions.

Glyphosate is an active ingredient in many weedkillers including Monsanto’s ‘Round-Up.’ It is used in farming, public places like parks, streets, and schools, and also by people in their gardens. Many farmers routinely use Roundup and other herbicides to clear their fields of weeds before crops emerge in the spring.

But what’s more alarming is they also using glyphosate on crops shortly before they are harvested, in order to dry out the plants and make them easier to harvest. By applying glyphosate so close to harvest makes the likelihood of finding residues in food even higher.

It has been widely accepted Glyphosate is a significant environmental toxin. that disrupts hormones, causing infertility and birth defects, and cancer.

There have long been concerns that glyphosate is a hormone disrupter that can cause cancerous tumors, birth defects, and other developmental disorders.

In July 2018, Monsanto was taken to court and a federal court judge ruled that the plaintiffs could proceed with their lawsuits, finding that a reasonable jury could conclude that glyphosate can cause cancer in humans. Monsanto’s motion for summary judgment was denied. If this is the case, as some scientists argue, there is no safe lower level for human consumption.

So many people today think they are gluten intolerant and have questioned for years that they are in fact glyphosate intolerant or have high levels of glyphosate toxicity in their bodies. I have found myself, that if I eat organic bread my gut health is completely fine, but if I have cheap bread or pasta, I cannot sleep, and my gut is extremely uncomfortable for some time.

The side effects of glyphosate are pretty shocking, and could easily be blamed on another diagnosis. If you have the following symptoms and are trying to conceive, then high glyphosate toxicity should be considered, especially if you also feel that you are gluten intolerant.

  • Headache

  • Dizziness

  • Coma

  • Drowsiness

  • Low blood pressure

  • Weakness

  • Abdominal cramps

  • Diarrhea

  • Irritation in the mouth and throat

  • Anxiety

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Blue fingernails or lips

  • Nausea and vomiting (some people vomit blood)

More severe indications of exposure to Roundup include:

  • Gastrointestinal corrosion

  • Mouth and throat pain

  • Abdominal pain

  • Difficulty swallowing

  • Organ damage to the liver and kidneys

  • Kidney failure to the extent of needing dialysis

  • Respiratory distress

  • Pulmonary edema

  • Shock

  • Cardiac arrhythmias

  • Significant irregular heart rhythm, followed by death

  • Impaired consciousness

  • Metabolic acidosis

  • Severe skin burns

  • Corneal injury

How to decrease Glyphosate Toxicity in your body.

There are a number of different studies that claim that glyphosate accumulates in the bones, intestine, spleen, liver, muscle, and kidney.

  • avoid using Roundup and other similar products

  • avoid consumption of GMO foods which are directly contaminated with glyphosate

  • avoid animal products such as milk or meat for which GMO foods were used to feed the animals

  • eat organic foods as much as possible

  • avoid living in areas where glyphosate is applied

  • use infrared sauna for sweating out toxins

  • consume probiotic foods and probiotic supplements to repopulate the microbiota which glyphosate destroys

  • eat organic foods rich in sulfur and manganese

A Homeopathic Detox of Glyphosate

Homeopathy is a therapy that can detox specific substances. The main detoxes that are used for fertility, are steroids, the contraceptive pill, antibiotics, vaccinations, and heavy metals. But I often detox other medications, such as antidepressants, metformin, Clomid, methotrexate. Each detox is prescribed on taking and individual case history.

Glyphosate can be detoxed safely, without side effects over two months. If you believe the cause of your infertility could be glyphosate, book a free consultation to discuss your case with me.
