Antidepressants and Your Fertility
Many women are put on antidepressants to help them cope with infertility. SSRIs, (serotonin uptake inhibitors) are actually increasing their serum prolactin to an unhealthy level, which blocks ovulation.
Many other hormones are linked to levels of prolactin, such as dopamine, estrogen,
Signs of high prolactin include:
White milk leaking from nipples
Absent, infrequent, or irregular periods
Loss of libido
Painful or uncomfortable intercourse
Excessive body and facial hair growth (hirsutism)
If you have high prolactin you may also be feeling -indignant, needs recognition for your opinion - not feeling accepted by your environment - oppositional - feeling of injustice - need to stand up for yourself - hypersexual or asexual
If you suspect high prolactin this can be confirmed by a simple blood test with your doctor.
In one of my recent successes, my patient fell pregnant 4 weeks into a Homeopathic balance of prolactin. Although my prescriptions are extremely comprehensive and cannot be narrowed down to just one remedy, in this case, I believe pregnancy was achieved by balancing prolactin with insulin.
Homeopathy can help in many ways in the case of high prolactin caused by the use of SSRIs in the following ways.
Heal the grief and trauma of infertility with the constitutional remedy.
Help you come off of antidepressants by detoxing the antidepressants alongside neurotransmitter support to help you wean off of them slowly.
Homeopathic balance course of prolactin to bring prolactin levels to a healthy level again.
Balance dopamine to help bring prolactin back into balance.
Every case is different, if you would like to discuss your individual case with me and how Homeopathy can help, book a free consultation.
