A Letter to Mothers of Teenage Daughters Already Worried about their Fertility.

Updated: Nov 17, 2020

In my clinic, I have come across many teenage girls already worried about their fertility at 17 and 18 years old. I have heard stories of girls having their eggs frozen at this tender age and I find this heartbreaking as this is not something that concerned young women just 20 years ago.

So what has happened?

There are many reasons fertility could be dropping. We are bombarded with many more chemicals in our food, water and air. It could be a side effect of prescription medication, poor diet, smoking or drinking alcohol.

In my opinion, one of the major causations to infertility is the contraceptive pill. In many cases, these girls are the third or sometimes fourth generation to take the contraceptive pill and they are born with their hormonal system already out of balance. Once these girls hit puberty, the hormone imbalance becomes more apparent, with early or delayed menarche, short or long bleeding with clots, painful periods, erratic moods, endometriosis, PCOS, depression, anxiety the list goes on.

The symptoms are so debilitating these girls seek out medical help and what do doctors prescribe? The contraceptive pill

!l. In my opinion, this is so barbaric and damaging to the delicate hormonal system. Taking the contraceptive pill for painful periods is like putting a plaster over a festering wound. It is understandable that when it comes to these women wanting to have a family, how they encounter problems and why infertility is skyrocketing.

But as mothers to these teenage girls, we are left in an extremely difficult position. We do not want our girls coming home pregnant and unfortunately, I do not have an answer on the best way to protect our girls as in all our advancement in medicine, we still do not have a contraceptive that does not damage our health.

So what can you do for your daughter naturally if she is already having awful symptoms around her period or has been put on the contraceptive pill by her doctor?

Homeopathy has a lot of tools to help balance the hormonal system.

Using Homeopathy I can detox the contraceptive pill over two months, even if your daughter has not yet taken it, but you or your mother did before she was born. Remedies can also be given to support your daughter's specific symptoms to help her heal her endocrine system and her periods.

I see a lot of other physical symptoms also related to an unbalanced hormonal system, such as IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, allergies, eczema etc and emotionally there can be anger, depression, mood swings. Puberty is such a hard time for young women anyway, but when hormones are already unbalanced this magnifies the situation by no end.

When I prescribe a Homeopathic treatment plan all of your daughter's symptoms are taken into account to help her heal holistically.
