Menstrual Symptoms Driving You Crazy? Say Goodbye to Them with Homeopathy!
Updated: Nov 19, 2020

Feeling irritable, tearful, anxiety or depression every month? You could be suffering with Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS). PMS refers to the emotional and physical symptoms that occur one to two weeks before a woman's period. Symptoms often vary between women and resolve around the start of bleeding. Between 8 -30% of women report moderate to severe PMS symptoms with those in the severe category suffering severe disruptions to their work and family life.
Common symptoms include;
acne
tender breasts
abdominal bloating
feeling tired
irritability
mood changes
appetite changes and cravings
social withdrawal
poor concentration
headache
joint and muscle pain
The cause of PMS is unknown but there are some theories. It could be caused by the hormonal fluctuations during a woman's monthly cycle, undiagnosed depression or chemical changes in the brain, such as a lack of serotonin which may cause food cravings, fatigue and insomnia.

In an observational, prospective study conducted in France, women suffering with PMS completed a questionnaire, before three months of homeopathic treatment. Examples of questions were impact on daily life, irritability and weight gain. The average score decreased from 13.7 at admission to 6.3 after three months, meaning a significant decrease in symptoms using homeopathy.
